Guide to Good Digestion

Your Guide to a Long and Healthy Life Starts With Good Digestion

Our bodies are made up of between 80-100 Trillion cells. We make 5-10 million new cells per second, 100 million new red blood cells are being formed in our body every minute. 98% of the atoms you are made of will be replaced every year. If you could put all your DNA end to end, it would stretch from here to the sun and back 70 times. Our bodies are quite amazing. We are constantly repairing, rebuilding, and growing automatically. In order to be successful in health, as in life, you need a good understanding of the basics. Achieving good health is simple, although not always easy at first.

To build quality cells, you need the best nutrients. Eat: in-season organic vegetables, fruit, hard shell nuts, grass-fed meats, wild caught fish, organ meats, and seaweed weekly. Use extra virgin olive oil, coconut oil, and organic butter from grass fed cows. These nutrients need to be thoroughly digested, and dissolved, so they will be absorbed, transported and installed in our cells. The process begins in your MOUTH where your BRAIN (with the help of a very complex set of nerves) can analyze what you are eating. Your brain can then find the building blocks your body needs. Once your brain knows what proteins, vitamins, minerals, fats, and sugars are in the food you’re eating, you then need access to them. This means CHEW thoroughly. For optimum digestion: DRINK BEFORE YOU EAT (not during or right after), and CHEW at least 25 -50 times to ensure proper digestion.

Your STOMACH is a little larger than your fist. This is where you dissolve PROTEINS and MINERALS with STOMACH ACID. The ACID also kills bacteria, viruses, fungi, and parasites. If you chew only 5- 10 times and wash food down with a drink, you dilute your stomach acid and seriously hamper proper digestion. The partially digested food will rot and ferment leading to bloating, heartburn, acid reflux, and gradual malnutrition. The digestion of starches requires an ALKALINE environment. When you mix acids with alkalis they neutralize each other, leading to indigestion. To utilize this information: do not eat PROTEINS with STARCHES, they will NOT digest. In the same vein, it is always wise to eat fruit by itself.

Diagram of the Stomach and pancreasLIVER – this is your filter/chemical detoxifier, where what has been absorbed into your blood stream is filtered, sorted and separated of the nutrients from the toxins. Examples of detoxification are where ingested irritants like alcohol, or alcohol made by Candida Yeast in your gut that turns sugar into alcohol, or drugs and other toxins are all converted so they can be eliminated through the kidneys (urine), gall bladder, (bile, old cholesterol) or the intestine (stool).

The LIVER is also the primary organ where fats are metabolized to BUILD, REPAIR your BRAIN CELLS, CELL WALLS, and ALL YOUR HORMONES.

The LIVER is the major organ responsible for maintaining normal blood sugar levels, from digestion or freeing stored sugar.

One of the most common underlying conditions, and the cause of countless symptoms is CANDIDA YEAST in your LARGE INTESTINE.

Normally your LARGE INTESTINE is full of good bacteria, and functions to absorb water and electrolytes and helps elimination.

When there is too much YEAST present, yeast turns sugar into ALCOHOL, FORMALDEHYDE, and TARTARIC ACID, which inflames the lining of the intestine, and puts a burden on the LIVER and also disrupts your Citric Acid Cycle of cell energy production.

With the LIVER now overloaded it cannot keep your BLOOD SUGAR levels normal, and you experience LOW ENERGY, SLEEPINESS IN THE MORNING or MID-AFTERNOON, or YOU WAKE UP AT 2 AM because your blood sugar is dangerously low. It is because your ADRENAL GLANDS reacted to save you with a rush of Adrenaline. Now you CAN’T FALL ASLEEP FOR AN HOUR.

ADRENAL GLANDS normally control blood sugar, make your antihistamines and, anti-inflammatory compounds, to control your allergies, anti-depressants, increase strength and focus, metabolic controls, feel good hormones, sex hormones when your ovaries shut down.

SYMPTOMS OF ADRENAL FATIGUE: fatigue, food allergies, crave salty foods, late night snackers, wake up tired and groggy, dizziness when going from laying or sitting to standing, bright light sensitivity, frequent urination (losing essential minerals), low energy mid-morning and mid-afternoon, weakened immune system and dry skin.

When your ADRENAL GLANDS are FATIGUED and can’t normalize your blood sugar, in an emergency reaction, your THYROID will raise your body temperature to free up stored energy. This is not a normal function of the THYROID so after repeated calls to the THYROID, to prevent it from being over stressed, it will gradually LOWER YOUR BODY TEMPURATURE and in doing this LOWER YOUR METABOLIC RATE to conserve energy, essentially shutting you down.

Gradually you may develop HYPOTHYROID SYMPTOMS; Fatigue, increased sensitivity too cold, constipation, dry skin, unexplained weight gain, puffy face, hoarseness, muscle weakness, elevated blood cholesterol level, muscle aches and pain, pain, stiffness or swelling in your joints, heavier than normal or irregular menstrual periods, thinning hair, slower heart rate, depressed mood, and impaired memory. Often the next step is to be prescribed THYROID medication to compensate for an OVER WORKED LIVER.

MY RECOMMENDATION: Understanding that ADRENAL FATIGUE develops when you are stressed, out of nutritional, emotional, or neurological balance. You will learn what choices and changes you can make to reverse your declining condition and by simply ADDRESSING THE CAUSES AND NOT JUST THE SYMPTOMS, you will begin to have the level of health that you choose.
